Chapter 3 of Give Me Some Truth
Chapter 3 was a little surprising. Taking place about a month after Carson's brother got shot. The school year ends and the day after Carson meets Marie and Maggie Bokoni. Marie seems like your typical pretty teen girl who knows how to flirt. While Carson likes the looks of Marie it is Maggie who really seems to capture his interests. I personally am rooting for any relationship which develops between Carson and Maggie. They both have big dreams and seem to have the ambition to make them come true. "Marie might not know it, but her sister was a very intriguing girl" (Page 41). This line alone makes it clear that Carson definitely sees something in Maggie that many other people do not seem to notice.

I like that you point out that Carson sees something in her. She justifies her relationship with Jim by saying he notices her when no one else does, but that apparently isn't true. Carson sees something special in her, but he doesn't express it like Jim does, so she is blind to it.
